    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a good experience to be networking with the professionals and also experiencing the work but there could be more of this

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The interaction was mainly with group-mates whom I worked with for several projects but there wasn't much interaction with the actual staff

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There should be more opportunities for job shadowing because most interns are really interested in getting first-hand knowledge of the job

    2/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The work load was manageable. We were given tasks which were mostly completed during the day

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Nothing much of real responsibility

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Some sessions (e.g. application process and how to succeed in the assessment centre) conducted were useful but others (e.g. environmental sustainability) were less so

    2/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The interaction with the group-mates were good!

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It will be really good if there is a fast-track programme for all the departments!

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were some useful skill sessions

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Well, it depends on how I fare for the next application process!

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The parties organised were good. For instance, we had the chance to have a gathering at the rooftop facing the City!

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was alright

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There were good pubs and bars near the office at Canary Wharf

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Nothing much, it was mainly amongst the students themselves

    2/5
