The Role
Really enjoyed the placement and would recommend this to others
Felt welcomed within my team and within the wider business
Had very good support by close team, but also supported by given a high level of responsibility
I was busy on a daily basis, but this was because I got involved with other opportunities and projects that I found interesting
Some projects I had a high level of responsibility and lead the project, others I took a supporting role.
Some of the skills were ones that I already had and built on, others were new. More confidence.
The Company
Hard working office, but people take the time to also have fun.
Technical necessities such as internet took a while to set up at the beginning.
Personal training invested from both the graduate team - presentation training. And also training from close team - away days and team building workshops.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
In the process of application for a job. Would like to come back, but have heard that the graduate scheme has increased in length, so will consider after year back at university.
The Culture
Lived with the other placement students!
Cheap for living as this was provided by the company - but being based in London, the cost of food and transportation was higher.
Accomodation was far away from the office, and not very buzzing - so wasn't great for nighlife without travelling.
Opportunities that we created for ourselves, such as raising money for charities, going out. Some team events were outside of working ours. Yoga classes also available.
