The Role
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. The people that worked around me were welcoming and eager to help me learn. The 8 weeks went very quickly.
The jobs I was given were at times not too demanding, but always useful and essential to the people that gave me them.
Despite being busy, my managers and colleagues were always keen to assist my learning and explain things from the basics.
it varied, some days i was busy all day and time passed very quickly. on days that i didnt have so much to do i worked on an e-learning platform that RBC set all the interns up with so this was good to pass time and learn more.
i was pleased with the level of responsibility awarded to me.
they will definitely me in the beginning of my career. the experience you aquire during an internship is invaluable.
The Company
Very freindly and a great team ethos was apparent.
some aspects were very good. but some more intern "events" would have improved it.
RBC invested heavily in its interns. a two day training centre at the beginning was very useful, and the online e-learning licenses we were given helped cement learning.
Subsidised Canteen
I would love to be given an opportunity in RBC;s grad scheme.
The Culture
Not massively. most of it was independently organised.
very expensive, but this is always going to be the case in central london
Really good
% a side football was organised by interns but that was about it
