The Role
Kept us really busy and gave us a variety of tasks and assessments. This helped me to develop numerous skills and get a feel for which competencies PwC were looking for. Also very informative - got a chance to meet employees all the way up to partners.
Everyone else at the academy was really nice and friendly and working with them was good and mostly enjoyable. The people running the academy were also really helpful.
Really well organized program of events and extremely well managed. All of the tasks were very well explained so that we knew what was expected of us.
Very busy on each of the 3 days, which was ideal as we got the most we could out of our time. But there was also a chance to relax and socialize in the evenings as we were given drinks tokens and allowed to socialize freely.
Not applicable really as the insight academy was not designed to give us responsibility as such, but giving a presentation to a board of partners gave us some responsibility which was good
Developed teamwork skills by working on a group project on each of the 3 days and producing a written report and presentation at the end. This was quite time pressured and so we had to work efficiently, this is definitely something i will find useful for future group work at uni
The Company
Really good atmosphere at the academy - everyone was friendly and the 3 days was pretty fun overall
Very well organized and pre-planned, we were never left waiting around and the timetable was stuck to rigorously
Real emphasis on feedback and development during the group exercises, this helped me to improve my performance and is also encouraging from the point of view of PwC as a place to work
Really good, got internship offer after academy and accepted this. Great company with many opportunities and looking forward to the internship
The Culture
only there for 3 days but in the evenings we had the chance to socialize among ourselves which was good. They also provided drinks for us.
Everything was provided (accommodation, food, drinks and even travel expenses) so the academy cost nothing to take part in, which was great
Not really applicable as we were only there for 3 days and were encouraged to stay at the hotel
not really as time period was so short
