The Role
Great support network, the 7 weeks flew by!
Everyone took the time to introduce themselves.
Everyone invested time into explaining how to do the work so that we were clear of what we needed to do and any questions were welcomed and answered straight away.
Varied depending on which department, there was some downtime but we were given research presentations to work on in the downtime.
Generally performed the work of a new graduate.
Plenty of practice in writing presentations and communication skills as well as learning to work in a team.
The Company
My placement was whilst a lot of people were at college or on holiday but the atmosphere in the office was still reall good.
There was someone in each department involved with making sure we knew where we needed to be each week.
They were willing to send me out to surveys or into meetings that would be interesting and help with personal development.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Have applied for a graduate position with them, outcome pending.
The Culture
There was an induction week before we started where we got to know each other, creating a great social scene during the placement.
There were some expensive places immediately by the office however there were also some reasonable places in the same area as well as cheaper places to go within a few minutes walk.
Many places to visit and met some great people on the placement so socialise with.
There are quite a few sports opportunities available outside of work however you had to enquire into them to find out about them.
