The Role
BAML has a great atmosphere and work environment and it made the spring week much more enjoyable.
As it was only a week long insight week, there was little opportunities to really show off how you would deal with the work set by employees.
There were not a specific mentor system, however all the members of HR were all very helpful whenever you had any questions or queries.
As most of the week was based on presentations, it was fairly packed but very rarely ran over.
Because it was primarily presentations there was little opportunity to take responsibility, however on rotations, those taking them were very willing to listen to opinions etc
A very helpful week
The Company
Everyone was always friendly and all the fellow interns were all very enthusiastic and nice.
I was very impressed with the organisation of the week.
They were very keen to learn as much about us, and see what our best qualities were.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Although I will not be returning for summer at BAML, it is definitely a firm I would consider going back to in the future.
The Culture
Those that lived in the apartments together seemed to have enjoyed the time they had when they weren't in work.
London is an expensive city on the whole, and especially as only travel from university was paid for, it was not a cheap week!
We didn't tend to make the most of the nightlife but London on the whole is pretty good.
Some people made far more of an effort than others.
