  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team arranged a vast amount of social events to welcome me including lunch time and evening meals, a day of archery, karaeoke night and lunchtime gym sessions. They encouraged me to voice my opinion in meetings and gave me challenging tasks to push my development further. They consistently asked if I needed help with anything and always took the time to sit down and explain a new piece of work I was given or to take me through step by step. They also marked some of the essay type work I completed

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had weekely catch ups with my manager, mentor and division director to discuss areas I had enjoyed, would likie more exposure to and what I could work on to achieve the objectives I set for myself at the start of my internship. I was also provided with a mid-term and final appraisal where I completed a self review and my manager also completed a review. I found the related meetings extremely valuable for what I could improve on and boosted my confidence with the positive feedback that I was given

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was kept busy daily with a variety of interesting tasks, however I did not feel overwhelmed with my workload and staff always checked that I could manage another task before asking me to do it. I also had a manageable working day that finished at around 5.30. I was encouraged to leave the office when I wanted rather than feeling pressured to stay for face time.
