The Role
I really enjoyed my two weeks at Taylor Wessing. It was an excellent insight into life as a commercial solicitor.
Extremely valued. Everyone in my department made a huge effort to discuss the work I had been set and also find out more about me.
Excellent support and guidance was provided. Weekly appraisals were held with your supervisor in order to give you an indication of how you were getting on.
I always had a task to do and could always ask if I had capacity to do more.
I was given the right amount of responsibility for a non-law graduate.
Skills developed included team work, presentation skills and analytical skills. The analytical skills will be especially useful at Law School.
The Company
Everyone was extremely friendly and made time to chat to me when they could.
Very well organised. Everyone was always informed of changes to our timetable.
I felt really valued and that the firm had taken time to think carefully about personal development and how we could get the most out of our scheme.
Subsidised Canteen
Extremely appealing.
The Culture
Everyone got on really well and enjoyed the social events after work.
London is expensive.
London is a great place to work and socialise.
We had to opportunity to participate in the firms weekly ProBono work which was really interesting.
