The Role
The Leadership Academy was thoroughly enjoyable, not only for being a great learning experience, but also for the people you get to meet (from other unis and EY alike). The atmosphere was great and the exercises good fun.
It's all about you, not EY. Everyone and everything is in place to support and guide YOU.
It was tough schedule-wise, but manageable. There was never a moment of boredom as a whole day was planned for you - however it also means there is little room to breathe and do your own thing - but for the short amount of time you are there, you can afford to leave other matters aside and enjoy the jam packed experience.
You learn a lot about yourself and how to manage others, undoubtedly two things which shall come in handy in the future.
The Company
It was great fun! Activities, both during the day and night, were enjoyed by all.
Very well organised - food, activities, leisure... it was all planned out.
You could tell EY was putting a lot into it for the short amount of time you spend with them, it certainly felt like you were well valued.
Company Parties/Events
It goes without saying, I will be applying there - better yet, you are guaranteed an interview (assessment centre) if you do the Academy.
The Culture
They provide you with pretty much everything - including food and drinks.
We didn't go out, but there were Karaoke nights, drumming sessions and good fun to be had at the hotel's bar.
