The Role
The structure of the internship was very good. My team was friendly, encouraging and understanding of my relative lack of knowledge.
I was taken along to meetinggs wherever possible and was generally made to feel included.
At no point was I left strugglnig with a task due to lack of support.
The amount of work fluctuated greatly yet I was never unable to cope.
I was able to attend meetings with senior executives from other firms and contribute my ideas however there was, understandably, little scope to execute these ideas.
The skills developed will be of great use in the financial industry.
The Company
Friendly and stimulating. Whenever important news events occurred the office would meet to discuss them. During Wimbledon and the Olympics, it was ok to take a few minutes away from work to watch a little of the events.
Talks and events were organised on a regular basis.
During the three days of training, several external speakers came in to give advice.
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
The chances of getting a job offer seem to be relatively high so long as you demonstrate you are a worthy candidate.
The Culture
Yes, every Friday interns met together after work.
Due to the fact the internship was located in the City, prices were high.
There was a good selection of bars however,in order to go somewhere that was not dominated by City workers, it was nexessary to take a bus or tube.
There were several opportunities to play sports and a day volunteering in a school was arranged for us.
