The Role
Very interesting tasks, and was deeply involved with a major new factory.
I was an integral part of the team, responsible for an entire aspect of research into a part of the manufacturing process.
Managers were helpful when needed, and provided guidance.
Varied depending on important meetings and decisions made by members of staff higher up in the organisation.
Quite a lot, as I was responsible for researching and putting together a specification for a major piece of equipment/machinery that would dramatically change the current method of manufacture for the component.
I learnt how modern aerospace companies operate, especially within the field of advanced manufacturing techniques, and also learn a lot about teamwork and team dynamics.
The Company
Varied. Sometimes dull, other times enjoyable.
No official training given.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Pretty good, though the bureacracy can be offputting.
The Culture
We often went out and enjoyed football games etc together.
Quite expensive, even though it was a 1 bed flat. No support given by the company in finding accommodation. The town itself (Hucknall) was pretty poor in terms of things to do.
Nearby Nottingham is absolutely incredible! Hucknall however, is awful.
A few football games, but not too much.
