  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • it was a good overall experience and i'd do it again.

    • i felt part of the team very quickly

    • i had a mentor that was able to answer any questions i had, big or small

    • it was a mixed bag. some days i had not very much at all but others were full to the brim

    • i felt like i was trusted with work that would go out to customers very early on and therefore it felt like a good amount of responsibility

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • a lot of what i've learnt is very company specific however i will be able to take away a good grounding in programming

    • the general atmosphere was very positive, helped of course by plenty of cake

    • it was very professionally set up and they seem to have taken a lot of time planning to make sure your experience as an intern is as productive as possible

    • a lot of what i was taught is very company specific and therefore i think they have invested quite a lot in me

    • i am not 100% sure if a telecoms company is for me but if i decide it is then MetaSwitch is an excellent place to work

    • there were plenty of other interns to organise social events with

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • the company vastly subsidises accommodation a walk away from the office which is ideal

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

    • enfield does not have much in the way of nightlife but it's easy enough to get into central london

    • there were plenty of societies that ran events outside of work
