The Role
I really enjoyed my time with ARM, it's a fantastic place to work and they really value their employees.
My manager and team really help me to feel at home! We're frank and honest with each other but all value each persons role in the team.
I was giving a lot of support by management, they always had my best interests at heart.
At some points there was a lull in the work available to me, but at some points it was really busy. My role at ARM depended on the amount of things that were requested by other members of the company!
I felt trusted and that I had a real impact with ARM, but people more senior/knowledgeable were always there to help me. If I ever needed help or guidance or someone to bounce ideas off they helped. Equally I had a lot of responsibility, completing tasks that actually impacted the company!
My management and team did everything they could be help me prosper, ARM's personal development team didn't take the time to help me achieve what I wanted to. Even though my training would have helped ARM prosper, they was not willing to invest training for a non-engineer.
The Company
The people I work with have great personalities and we were always laughing. A few things happened that lowered morale at times, but that's only to be expected.
I think someone could have possibly given me a few more strict deliverables, at times I just felt like I was muddling through.
The company itself gave me nothing additional to help me prosper as a non-engineer. There were lots of things available for engineers; speech coaching, lunch and learns, training etc. But nothing aimed at Video specialists.

Working from home
There is already a chance of future summer work available, I'm looking to pursue more permanent options as I graduate next year. Hopefully something will become available.
The Culture
I didn't partake in any of the student activities as I commuted to work, but the students were always emailing to arrange nights out etc.
I wouldn't know as I didn't stay in the area, but I know fellow students found living in Cambridge easy.
I wouldn't know as I go out in the area, but I know fellow students found lots of opportunities to go out and try something new!
There are a few "Team ARM" initiatives if you enjoy bike rides/sports.
