The Role
It was such an enjoyable experience I wanted to go into work everyday!
From day one I felt completely comfortable and was part of the team. I also never felt afraid to ask questions as I knew they would always be so supportive
I had a weekly 1 on 1 with my manager, but also could go to her at any time to get further support
It was up and down on some days, and also takes a few weeks to be able to continue with other things when you finish tasks. Overall I could always get on with something though
I was immediately given the responsibility of talking to external agencies, and felt like I contributed to the success of projects
My overall confidence in the workplace has gone up so much since starting on the placement, communication skills and presenting skills will definitely stay with me!
The Company
Always a great, relaxed atmosphere, yet everyone worked incredibly hard.
We had a placement coordinator who was great, it was really well organised
we had cv and interview skills half way through
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare/Dental
i will apply for the graduate scheme, as will a lot of people!
The Culture
We often went out for drinks, had lunch together, did fundraising together etc
London is expensive, especially the area we were in, but there are always cheaper places around
There were a lot of bars/pubs around
Lots of intern opportunities, such as fundraising, which we could get involved with. Also living in London there is always something to do!
