The Role
Everyone I met was lovely and make you feel really welcome. They also had time for a laugh!
Everyone in the department was really welcoming. Especially those in the mini team within the department
All my questions were answered and I felt that if I had any problems I could ask my manager
I had a good amount of tasks, but I work quite quickly so could've done more if needed!
The projects givent to you on day 1 are your responsibility to complete and work on in the way you decide. The team and my manager were there to help me and offer advice if needed but otherwise they were mine.
I can definitely see that this will help me both with my final year of university and with finding employment afterwards!
The Company
I spent most of the time in a smaller office, but it was really good to meet another side of the charity from different departments
Everythings laid out for you and have regular contact with the internship organiser
Set up a personal development plan at the start and my manager did everything to make sure I got the opportunities to develop those skills. Also have a CV and interview skills day which was really useful!
I'd consider applying for a job here after university!
The Culture
As i wasn't in the head office I was unable to meet up with the interns regularly, however they seemed to have a pretty good social scene amongst them!
It's london so it's bound to be expensive..
Loads of stuff to do, just costs of doing it all
There were lots of other volunteering opportunities and also lots of other areas of the charity to get involved in like photo shoots and filming etc
