The Role
It was a great experience.
I felt like my work mattered.
I was given great support and was able to work independently when I wanted.
Always work to be given to you after you finished a task.
I was in charge of producing various documents important for auditing and I had to a large extent freedom to improve and troubleshoot by myself until I asked for help.
I now have a much greater insight into how businesses operate, what its like tot work as a team in a an office based environment and have experience working at client offices.
The Company
Generally very relaxed attitude. Most people work through their unpaid lunch break so you didn't really feel you could.
A lot of variety in what I was doing but there seemed to be some communication issues between offices and different members of the HR team. Sometimes received mixed messages for things such as dress-code. Received information with little notice at times.
There was good training at the start of the internship and you were constantly learning new things.
Company Parties/Events
Received a job offer.
The Culture
When away at a client's for several days, we had some very enjoyable meals out with the team I was working with.
Cambridgeshire isn't the cheapest area.
Pubs, that's about it.
Yes, we had a Corporate Responsibility day in Birmingham. We built a nature trail for the children of a Primary school. There were other opportunities but I wasn't there long enough.
