The Role
Supported from the start if I faced any problems; thoroughly enjoyable.
I was never given an unimportant task such as making coffee - I was always tested to meet important deadlines.
I could always rely on my Line Manager, as well as Graduate Buddy and Career Coach, as well as the team I was working in, if I had any problems.
There were busy and quiet days, and as long as the work was completed to an excellent standard and on time, the flexibility was encouraged.
I was assigned a task which would then be taken on by other members of the team once I left, so it was important that I got it right.
I learned about prioritisation, as well as seeking information from the experts of the field.
The Company
The team I worked with, and the entire department, were always very friendly and often stopped by my desk to welcome me to the company.
Everything ran well for the first nine weeks, but in the final week there was some discontent following our final interviews, as there was a delay in finding out whether we had been successful or not.
I visited various sites to learn more about the company and its partners, which proved to be very useful in completing my projects.
Flexi Time
Working from home
I was offered a place on a new Graduate Scheme, which I will be accepting.
The Culture
We all lived in the same building at a local University; this really helped us connect and it was good to see familiar faces in the office each day.
As we often went into London, the prices were not great, but more locally (at the student union) the prices were good.
We never went out in the area that we worked, but we often went out in the area where we lived, or travelled into London.
I hosted a quiz which was great fun, and there were opportunities to compete in football tournaments.
