    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The academy was a thoroughly enjoyable experience with great people and teachers. Would definitely recommend the course to anyone regardless of whether they want to work for EY or not.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You're surrounded by like minded students who don't know each other so you bond as a group over the four days.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • You are facilitated by EY staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. The course itself is run by tutors from one of the best business schools in the UK.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The days are busy, like any working day would be. There are talks and discussions during the day followed by other activities in the evenings.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The aim of the course is to develop your skills which is party done through discussions and talks, partly through reflection on yourself and others and partly through physical tasks and games. Therefore responsibility isn't as you might expect but general responsibility when working in groups etc.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I can not recommend the course enough as it has definitely changed my way of looking at self evaluation and how I impact others within a group.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • 4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • 5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It is rather amazing how much EY have put into this short course. It is designed to the spec desired for upper management yet given to us the students at no cost.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Acts as a fast track for internships or potentially graduate job offers. Not necessarily a given that you will receive an offer, however the course does train you in skills picked up on within assessment centres.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Social events were organised, however they were not the focus of the four days.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Everything is paid for.

    0/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • See two above.

    0/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 0/5
