The Role
The placement was enjoyable despite the work not being ideal
I felt valued by certain people such as the other students who were on gap years
Lots of support - a very organised system for undergraduate students
On a daily basis, I wasn't given a huge amount of work to do. There were times where I had to go out searching for work to do.
Given my prior experience, it would have been wrong to have allowed me to make important decisions
I developed general skills such as teamwork skills and communication skills but not skills that will be directly relevant to what I purse in the future
The Company
The atmosphere was great - everyone was friendly and approachable. It was a shame that there simply wasn't work for me to do.
Very well - plenty of information prior to the placement and during the placement
Whilst I feel as though there was scope for the possibility of more training, I was given the chance to attend many networking events and also travel abroad!
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Many opportunities in several different departments
The Culture
There were a lot of young students which was a positive to the placement.
Really nice area in the countryside - not great if you are addicted to city life though!
There was one nightclub which wasn't great!
There were a few sports and other things such as giveback - this was definitely a positive side to this placement
