The Role
Gave a good picture of the business and I learnt a huge amount about engines.
Very friendly and helpful although sometimes felt like the placement was more for my benefit than to contribute to their work.
Very good induction and regular progress reviews to check up on what I was doing.
Variable work load. There were times when I didn't have much to do.
Some of the documents I produced were essential to the build but my main project was an opinion based task that may be used in the future.
Invaluble business awareness and made me really think about what I might like to do in the future. Large amount of engine knowledge gained and interests developed.
The Company
Mostly chatty and friendly people. I felt quite young though!
Very good induction process. Lots of other interns to share experience with and good review and follow up process.
The company definitely see you as a future investment and are keen to enable you to come back as a graduate. Encourage personal assessment and personal goals.

Seems to be quite easy to come back as a graduate and, although I want to look around other companies, coming back is an appealing prospect.
The Culture
Lots of other interns. Very sociable!
Bristol is reasonably expensive but as a student I already had accomodation in place.
Highly recommended!
There is an intern/graduate/apprentice association with some great sounding events but I didn't get involved. Helped out at a community event handing out freebies to children!
