The Role
The work is challenging and I've been given a good amount of independance
Colleagues have stated that I've "done good work". I've been able to do in depth tasks that allowed me to take responsibility for tasks that they would otherwise have to do.
Task is expanding knowledge of the department, so I've had to do a lot of research work on my own, but they have been there when needed.
I've always had a lot to do.
I've had a good amount of responsibility, I've been working on tasks independently, without someone developing in parallel or needing to rewrite all that I have done.
Good experience of the workplace. Added experience should help with finding employment after my degree.
The Company
Friendly work mates, but we all still got on with our work
Internship set up well, but contract took too long to get sorted. Start date was pushed back because of this.
Was only there for the summer. Didn't take any training courses.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
I would be very happy to gain employment with Thales
The Culture
Graduates/students meet up at lunchtimes etc.
Lived at home so not extensive living costs
Didn't go out much
No company run sports etc that I know of. once a month, we try to go to have a departmental meal
