The Role
I enjoyed the placement both in terms of varied work, international travel, great people and a good social aspect.
I was treated as a graduate not as an intern.
I was give a lot of additional guidance and information about the company and the project as management were aware that I was new to such an environment
Work came in peaks and troughs. Some days I was very busy and had to work long hours, others it was very quiet and I could leave on time or early.
I was given the same amount of responsibility as a graduate and invited to prepare key documents for senior management and even chair international teleconferences.
I learnt so much over the year - particularly MS Office skills, interpersonal skills and general office skills that would be transferrable to many jobs.
The Company
Project wise there were often Accenture team lunches or occasional dinners and there was generally a good, busy atmosphere.
Great induction week where there was a chance to meet other interns. Intern events were then organised throughout the year. We were placed in projects the week after the induction week and there were regular opportunities for feedback/catchups.
We received excel training in the induction week but most was on the job training.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I have just accepted a graduate job with them.
The Culture
Although we were placed around the country on different projects there were still several opportunities (formal and informal) to come together.
London travel fairly expensive
Uxbridge did not have much of a nightlife but the time I spent in Madrid was brilliant.
There were several clubs to join but I only got involved in social events.
