  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a very valuable experience. I enjoyed many aspects of the internship.

  • Everyone made me feel very welcome from day one. This was one of the highlights for me.

  • I had lots of support and opportunities to interact with higher management.

  • At the start I didn't have many tasks but as time went by I had more opportunities to get involved.

  • I had a reasonable level of responsibility. It's not always possible to have a great level of responsibility as an intern in an investment bank because of the significant sums of money involved.

  • I definitely developed many important life skills in my time at RBS.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was very approachable and personable. I could speak to anyone.

  • Most of it was very well run. The time in between getting the offer for the internship and starting could have been better managed.

  • RBS spared no cost in training the interns. Fantastic training week at the start.

  • Yes - the interns went out at the weekends!

  • Manchester is cheaper than London as a main financial district.

  • Manchester is a great night out!
