  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a very enjoyable experience as we had a divese range of events and the team was great.

  • As an intern you are not going to be given lots of responsibility; however I feel like my team valued the work I did as it will help them in the long run.

  • Management was great, very supportive and encouraged me to experience other areas.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There were moments during the Internship where I had little to do; however I arranged shadowing and meeting with other areas to fill this gap.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Understandably the responsibility was limited as I was an Intern; however there are still many opportunities to learn different skills and expand your knowledge which is crucial.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Many of the skills learnt will help me in my studies such as excel skill and presentation skill. The internship has made me a lot more confident and will definitely help me in the future.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Atmosphere was welcoming and there was a good relationship amongst the team. Colleagues were more like friends and they were up for having a laugh. Perfect place to begin you career.

  • Very well organised, lots of enjoyable events including sports day, bowling, internal events etc.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Company invests a huge amount in your development. Indtroductory week was well organised with a standard of teaching to cater for all levels. They also had excel training day which is a useful skill to have in the banking industry.

  • Vast future prospects, great graduate scheme taht gives you the opportunity to work your way up to more senior roles.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fantastic social scene. Made lots of lifelong friends who I will definitely be keeping in touch with. Regularly meet up with fellow interns after work in a more informal setting.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is generally an expensive night out; however many palces have a good happy hour where drinks are cheap. Good places to have a drink after work.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife consisted of mainly bars with a good atmosphere and vibe. Number of places withing walking distance each with their own unique feeling.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Many sporting activities took place outside of working hours, after work and on the weekend. Good opportunity to network and get to know colleagues.
