The Role
It was a very enjoyable experience as we had a divese range of events and the team was great.
As an intern you are not going to be given lots of responsibility; however I feel like my team valued the work I did as it will help them in the long run.
Management was great, very supportive and encouraged me to experience other areas.
There were moments during the Internship where I had little to do; however I arranged shadowing and meeting with other areas to fill this gap.
Understandably the responsibility was limited as I was an Intern; however there are still many opportunities to learn different skills and expand your knowledge which is crucial.
Many of the skills learnt will help me in my studies such as excel skill and presentation skill. The internship has made me a lot more confident and will definitely help me in the future.
The Company
Atmosphere was welcoming and there was a good relationship amongst the team. Colleagues were more like friends and they were up for having a laugh. Perfect place to begin you career.
Very well organised, lots of enjoyable events including sports day, bowling, internal events etc.
Company invests a huge amount in your development. Indtroductory week was well organised with a standard of teaching to cater for all levels. They also had excel training day which is a useful skill to have in the banking industry.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Vast future prospects, great graduate scheme taht gives you the opportunity to work your way up to more senior roles.
The Culture
Fantastic social scene. Made lots of lifelong friends who I will definitely be keeping in touch with. Regularly meet up with fellow interns after work in a more informal setting.
London is generally an expensive night out; however many palces have a good happy hour where drinks are cheap. Good places to have a drink after work.
Nightlife consisted of mainly bars with a good atmosphere and vibe. Number of places withing walking distance each with their own unique feeling.
Many sporting activities took place outside of working hours, after work and on the weekend. Good opportunity to network and get to know colleagues.
