    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very good fun, once I was past the worst of the steep learning curve.

  • All my colleagues were very friendly and helpful.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Whenever I had a question the project tech lead was just an IM away for guidance and advice. I also had two very friendly colleagues to turn to for help, and a very friendly line manager.

  • There was always work to be getting on with, but never huge pressure to rush through it.

  • I was responsible for my part of the project, but not much more.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My degree is extremely unpractical, but I can imagine the skills I've developed to be extremely useful for industry.

  • Studious, but relaxed enough to have a conversation and a laugh
