The Role
Very enjoyable, extremely challenging; wholy rewarding.
The company has a strong culture which involves all members of staff and encorages open communication across all levels of the hierarchy. I felt wholy valued.
Support was always there when I asked. A plan was set out for me in the first week; to ensure that I gained a great deal of personal benefit from the internship; not just the company. All of the areas in which I wished to improve my skills in; were targetted and I succsefully improved all of these skills.
Working on a project with a great scope ensured that I always had something to do.
The responsibility given was excellent. i was empowered and given the scope to do what I felt necessary to complete my project. Freedom over planning my day, setting up meetings (internally AND externally) and liaising with key external stakeholders ensured that I could complete my role to the best of my ability- without asking.
By focusing on areas that I felt I needed to improve upon, and succesfully achieving this; the internship has greatly aided my personal development and improved my overall skill set.
The Company
A good balanced atmosphere was set in the office; allowing you to work hard but do so in an enjoyable way.
The internship set up was very well organised: with a set plan of what was required of myself during my time at the company, very clearly set out.
I was given free reign to work on a project that directly affected the bottom line and the firm's reputation.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Prospects are very appealing and open; with the aim of internships, to stay at the company long term.
The Culture
Amongst interns it proved difficult to arrange social activiteis due to us living in varying locations. However, during work socialising is encouraged.
Socialising proved difficult out of work hours due to the varying locations that we lived; however this was the only major cost.
Nightlife was great when we experienced it- but it did prove difficult to arrange due to living a distance away from nightlife hot spots.
Employees are encouraged to take part in sporting activites and engage in community schemes.
