The Role
Would definitely recommend the internship, the learning opportunities are extensive.
Very varied, senior guys less so.
This is somehwat off your own back, if you want in depth feedback, then you have to ask for it.
Very busy, intensified by asking for more work and striving to be highly detailed in all projects.
Very little. Understandbaly perhaps, but regardless, nothing much.
Main learning areas: presentational abilities, markets knowledge, desk specific from here on.
The Company
Well being the summer and being a work placement, one would not expect 'fun'...
There was little or no structure throughout. Pretty much all of it was off your own back, so I would say that it would differentiate candidiates well, but thats not what the question asks.
I feel as if I learnt a great deal and a lot of time was invested in me by the traders and other employees. RBS too, hosted many talks with senior members of the bank, as well as training sessions aimed to develop us personally and professinally.
n/a - haven't found out yet.
The Culture
Pretty good - again, this is off yor own back. And I dont see why this has anything to do with rating the placement..
Well considering I've been in London for 3 months now, not too bad. I go to uni in London too, so for me, I'm used to slightly dearer prices etc
Placement was in London, so obvioulsy very good.
Minimal opportunities laid on by the company, but again, being in London, if you wanted to do anything, you could, outside of work
