The Role
I enjoyed experiencing all the new things the internship offered, as it was a very different environment to the charities and local authorities I had worked for in the past.
I was thanked on many occasions and positive feedback from clients was passed onto me.
My manager saw that I had acquired a great deal of skills in previous employment and chose to hang back in terms of guidance. I would have liked to have been able to 'check in' more regularly, however.
I was very busy juggling high volumes of hotline calls as well as my own projects
I was given full responsibility for my projects, which was difficult sometimes as I had no personal links or experience of the company's policies and procedures. I learnt the hard way which was a good lesson!
I now have an even broader range of experienec and have seen how a global organisation operates and deals with its staff.
The Company
Fun, with lots of treats and success emails going round, but there was obvious pressure too.
Very well organised, but some more exciting projects could have been created on occasion.
We had a CV and interview skills workshop, but there wasn't much time to do any longer-term training. I'm sure we would have been considered for it if there were.

Working from home
Staff are treated well and the setting/ area is a great place to work in. The quality of work and the facilities are great, and everyone has a genuine drive to work towards finding a cure for cancer.
The Culture
Everyone was very engaged, with lots of lunches/ meals out, after-work drinks etc.
Bargains could be found for lunch etc, but if you had disposable cash for a more pricey meal, it could be easily found!
Good - lots of pubs and restaurants, both chain and independent, plus theatres and coffee shops.
Lots of scope to get involved in volunteering at festivals and photoshoots etc.
