The Role
More enjoyable than expected.
They all treated me like an employee.
Daily support and weekly meetings with the mentor.
Varied, but generally quite busy - good as I prefer that to being bored.
More responsibility than expected, which was great as I was allowed to challenge myself.
I've already completed my degree so it did not help with that. However this internship did improve my commercial awareness.
The Company
Quite relaxed and the senior managers/ partners were approachable, friendly people/
Very well structured, with defined objectives and ways of measuring performance.
There were a few informal one-to-one sessions where terminology was explained.
Company Parties/Events
Got an offer and was allowed to defer a year.
The Culture
There were afterwork drinks with the team every week. Also many many intern socials.
I lived 30 minutes away by tube. So it was affordable. London Bridge, however, is a very expensive area.
London, so obviously good nightlife.
I wasn't able to make it to many of the activities as there were so many throughout the internship.
