The Role
my internship was a great experience and it taught me a lot. However because of a lack of work during several weeks my enjoyment was reduced. The people were very nice though.
the team were good to incorporate me into their team, especially after my first week.
the programme itself was quite unstructured but my manager did his best to rotate me around departments so i got a good and clear understanding of the departments/divisions role and responsibilities
i was not particularly busy but the people around me did their best to give me what they could. It was hard for them but at the end of the day I got to see what was going on in an organisation and in Group Finance.
i felt i developed my inter-personal and communicatino skills and feel more comfortable in a work environment.
The Company
it was relatively quiet most of the time.
it was quite unstructured
Was offered a job with Lloyds Banking Group for Finance.
The Culture
interns arranged drinks and I had lunch with the 5 other interns in my building pretty regularly.
The cost of living and socialising is expensive as it is in the City. Your London allowance will cover most of the extra expense
There was the opportunity to work with other interns to raise money for charity and do a photoshoot for the graduate handbook.
