The Role
Gained very good insight into the functioning of the Oil & Gas industry, particularly useful given current economic conditions. Given good training in industry standard procurement and supply chain management e-tools, gained in-depth knowledge of what a procurement function does.
The Company
Given economic situation, there is some degree of uncertainty over many individuals' positions in the firm, and as such this meant a somewhat sombre environment around the office. Within teams, however, a good atmosphere and the opportunity to build good relationships.
Very closely monitored by HR to ensure that we were always getting the best out of our internships.
Dependent on what sort of line manager you have, personally I had a very good experience, and felt the team was willing to invest time and effort whenever possible.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Lots of options to consider, many areas to go into on the graduate 'Challenger' scheme (3 year programme).
The Culture
Plenty of pubs around Sunbury/Feltham, not that anyone would want to hang around the area at night.
Sunbury not exactly amazing - well actually terrible - but a short train ride towards Richmond or into Central London (25 mins) and you can have a good night!
