The Role
I had a fantastic time working at LBG. The culture was great and was able to work on a huge range of tasks. I also got great exposure to senior management whilst working here.
The culture at Lloyds Banking Group was great. I worked in a really open friendly atmosphere and everyone was more than willing to give up time to chat even if they were at a very senior level in the company.
I had an excellent line manager who was very supportive and great to work with. He gave me the right level of guidance and if there was ever an issue personal or work related I was able to go to them without a worry.
Varied during my time here - however if it was easy to approach people to ask more work. When I had a lot on it was a good challenge and nothing was ever unmanageable.
I was given a good amount of responsibility during my placemet.I was given events to organise and calls to run which was great. It has given me a lot of confidence.
The skills that I have learnt will allow me to be a lot more efficient and organised during my last year at uni - which will let me achieve the results I want to and still keep up everything else.
The Company
The atmosphere was great. Really friendly, chatty and open. Was great fun.
The organisation before arriving was not great. But the induction whilst I was here was excellent (however other interns did not have quite the same experience)
Everyone in the organisation was more than happy to sit down and explain and chat about the areas they worked for even if they were senior or very busy.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I secured a role on their graduate HR scheme for 2013.
The Culture
The social scene was fairly good. As London interns we would meet up most Thursdays or the odd Friday for drinks.
Being London was expensive.
Despite being expenseive - obviously was good!
As we were only here for 10 weeks over the summer there were not many - which is understandable.
