The Role
Barclays provided all the help required to support my learning requirements. The internship provided a very good insight into the retail banking network and the various operations involved
All the colleagues treat you with respect. While you a supported by the managers, like in any other job - It is upto the initiative of the individual to interact with other colleagues and learn their work.
My line manager helped me a lot to ensure that I get the best during the internship. The line managers and HR representatives were very approachable and always ready to support for any concern or help required.
I had work arranged for me from the very first day. Since I asked for work and always went after more work, I was busy and occupied. This helped my learning curve
The skills achieved like home general management, team working, customer interactions etc. are very essential for most of the job roles in the banking and finance industry.
The Company
Our HR representatives ensured that the internship was well structured. Most of the activities were planned to ensure that we get a good understanding of all the operations in the stream by the end of the internship.
Company Parties/Events
If you perform well, the chances of getting the job within the company is very high.
The Culture
Many events were oganized by both the company and the interns to ensure a great time.
the nightlife in London is obviously very good :)
There are many clubs in the organization in which we were encouraged to participate. We also got a full day opportunity to take part in a CSR event.
