The Role
Great placement working alongside fantastic people
Colleagues made an effort and were always willing to take time out of their day to help and teach
Excellent support provided by manager and other colleagues.
Varied on a day to day basis
The work was varied doing basic tasks to work which would actually be used after my placement was over
The improvement in my skills is evident and will certainly be of use to me throughout not just my working career but on a day to day basis.
The Company
The office I worked in could be very quiet on days despite being full of people.
My line manager was very organised however, before the placement itself, there was little information provided by the bank with regards to what I would be doing and where I would be working
Company was certainly willing to invest and me and there was a wealth of resources available to all colleagues for further training.
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
Working from home
I believe 80+ percent of individuals who undertake the internship recieve a graduate offer which is very high indeed considering the competitiveness for a placement with a bank.
The Culture
Social scene amongst other interns and colleagues was somewhat poor but varies drastically on your location - your office, number of other interns in your building and etc.
London is always expensive and you could be placed in other areas if you so wished to do so.
Fantastci nightlift in central London
There is an apprentice like charity challenge which is a nice addition to the placement. In addition, there are opportunities to get involved in other charitable work but they would have to be pursued by individuals themselves.
