The Role
The work was very interesting; I was based in GITO so I took on lots of roles and did lots of different things. Really good way to get a feel for the corporate world.
Very friendly, great culture at Lloyds.
Lots of support as long as you get your hands dirty.
Sometimes it was manic, with lots of deadlines to meet and sometimes it was a case of offering your help to everyone around.
I was actually a manager at one point, developed forecasting models, ran a community event.
Communication, work ethic, business acumen and knowledge all greatly increased.
The Company
Went out for drinks, spent time with colleagues at lunch and had a lot of fun with them.
The overall setup was very much throw you in at the deep end. They give you an address and the first day is all you, second day they set the scene on everything. Not massively comprehensive and very much left it up to the line manager.
A great deal of time was spent on answering my questions and working to get me to a good level of understanding.
National Travel
Potential offer on graduate scheme.
The Culture
I didn't participate in many intra-intern events, mainly stuck to the actual employees.
Well its London, I live here anyway so I know the cost.
Again its London so see shows, go to cool bars, get to clubs. Everything is available.
If you wanted it then it could be setup. But there was no-one really pushing for it.
