The Role
It was a very different but exciting experience.
Everyone was extremely lovely. They all supported me from the first day I started, so I wouldn't feel left out.
I was able to contact them any time during working hours if I needed any help, they were more than happy to assist me.
At first, I was not busy at all. I was getting used to the business environment. After the first two weeks, the work started rolling in and got more challenging as the weeks went by.
I was given a great deal of responsibility which I enjoyed having as I felt valued and useful to the bank
I learnt how to use excel and create PowerPoint.
The Company
Calm and exciting. During busy periods, people were quite focused on their work. However, during less busy periods, a few jokes were made and conversations took place
I got briefed on what I was working on the first day I got there, so that shows that they had taken time out to organize some work for me.
I got to meet different people within my team and I had a chance to see other areas of the busines.
Flexi Time
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Thankfully, I got offered a job and I am looking forward to working there next year.
The Culture
Yes, the interns went out for drinks almost every week.
It was very cheap for me as I lived at home, so I did not pay rent at all and I took the bus so transport costs were not a problem at all.
I don't go clubbing at all, so I would know
Yes, London has a variety of things you can get involved with. You just have to look for it
