The Role
Really enjoyed working at ARM and learning new stuff, although I was not as enthusiastic about the project initially
I knew the value of my project to the whole department.
Whenever I needed help I got it. From getting set up through to finishing the project
I knew my workload so I could schedule efficiently. Had time to have small breaks from the project, which improved my productivity. Also, many meetings and presentations gave me breaks from work too.
My work and findings were used to judge whether an investment will be made
Learned some crucial stuff and new skills relevant to my degree
The Company
Very relaxed when placed with other interns, although not as fun when placed with full-timers
Although I knew what I had to do, the overall project lacked a clear focus and introduction
Attended a few training sessions and presentations, which enhanced my knowledge and skills
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Although not received a job offer yet, the company is significantly increasing it's graduate intake. Many opportunities for promotion
The Culture
Social committee organized many events for interns
Cambridge is quite expensive compared to Manchester, although not as expensive as London. Good pay outweighs this
Can't comment - didn't socialise after work
Many opportunities for helping out in and attending external events
