The Role
Really enjoyed, going back next year after I've finished my degree
Very friendly atmosphere
Felt able to approach people for help when needed, buddy system for any issues.
Time management pretty much left up to me
Worked on a project that I was given responsibility for, rather than several little tasks
Gained not only technical knowledge, but also team working, communication, presentation skills
The Company
Good atmosphere, able to do work but also able to chat to people
Excellent induction programme, my project already planned out before the start of the internship
Attended a conference at ARM's hq, where I presented briefly.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Structured career path through engineer ranks, from graduate to principal engineer
The Culture
Not many placement students in Sheffield, but colleagues very friendly, pub lunches most days!
Lots of cheap accommodation and food in Sheffield
Student town, Manchester only an hour away
Good opportunities for social clubs
