The Role
Found a career path which I will be taking; the job was perfect for me. There were a lot of opportunities to see other parts of the business, and decide what is best for you as an individual.
I was welcomed by my team from day one both on and off the job, and I was part of the furniture by the time I left.
My manager was approachable and down-to-earth, wanted to run my placement around me and ensure that I got what I wanted out of it. I knew help was there if I needed it but at the same time, I was given enough responsibility to achieve on my own.
It varied depending on the workload of the team as with any job. By the end when I was finishing up projects before I left I was very busy, between tasks I was quite relaxed but I never felt bored or too overworked.
I was given complete responsibility for a project, which will continue now that I have left. Support was available if I needed it, but I was able to contribute something tangible working independently.
Since I want to follow this career path, my placement has been a learning curve which will be directly applicable to my career. These skills are versatile though: from time management, and ability to deal with customers, to presentation skills, and people management.
The Company
In my immediate team the atmosphere was great, friendly and relaxed.
I was allocated to a team in the area I wanted to work, based on my preferences, and learnt a lot. I was given a project which had clearly been considered in advance, and it kept me busy for the whole internship.
The internship was focused on personal development and I was encouraged to spend an hour a week improving myself. I was invited to training sessions, and software trained relevant to my work.

Company Parties/Events
I got a job offer, as did most other interns- the scheme is focused on longer term prospects and Lloyds are keen to employ as many interns as pass their benchmarks.
The Culture
There were two events with all of the interns together, which gave everyone a chance to meet. There were also events organised within the different schemes at work, which gave social opportunities. Everyone was friendly and Friday night drinks were standard.
I live in London anyway but we were paid London waiting to help cover the costs, and noone seemed to be struggling!
