The Role
I enjoyed the placement and I think it was a valuable experience.
Everyone in the office was friendly and up for a chat or to help out.
If i needed help I could just ask, and I found many people very keen to explain ideas and concepts to me.
I think on most internships there's going to be sometimes when you don't have much to do, but if I asked my boss for something he always had an idea of something to do to tide me over.
I did some testing which was very enjoyable, and felt that I was generally trusted in my work.
Just doing an internship and spending time around proffesionals in a different culture is very valuable. I think the most valuable skills I developed were from talking and discussing work with other employees, and seeing how they thought about problems.
The Company
Very friendly, generally hard working but not dull.
They are very experienced with internships.
I spent a lot of time talking to some senior engineers, which really helped me grasp the more hands on side of engineering.
They seem like a good company, and the grad pay is very good.
The Culture
Some undergrads were regulary meeting for lunch, but after work not much happened.
Not too expensive relative to cities.
I'm used to a big city so it was never going to be that great.
I know some people played football with other workers.
