The Role
The internship at Barclays was very well organised. My personal work preferences were recognized and I enjoyed the placement very much.
My colleagues valued me like a permanent employee
My manager was extremely supportive and collaborative. They guided me adequately in solving problems and were a great mentor.
I was as busy as everyone else in my team and was given extra work to keep my schedule full
The responsibilities I was given were very well balanced compared to my knowledge and experience. As I built on my experience the responsibilities kept increasing :)
I learnt many new things and these skills will be useful forever
The Company
The office was always lively and welcoming. Very good office plan which helps to work efficiently.
The internship was setup very well. Everything was perfect and the HR team was very efficient in organizing social and training events to provide a perfect balance. Everything always ran on schedule and I was impressed by the amount of resources the company invests in Interns.
Personal training was mainly on the job and by my team however there were many general training events where interns could participate.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I got an offer and will be joining Barclays next year :)
The Culture
there were many social events and interns went out for drinks once a while. there were many team social events too!
I have lived in London for a long time so used to London costs
We did work late at times so it was limited but intern events compensated for these.
yes there were plenty of opportunities including sports clubs, diversity societies and a mentoring program!
