The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the company. Both the members of staff and other interns were friendly and I was given a wide variety of pieces of work to get into and understand.
I was spoken to as an equal with my colleagues and they were never patronising. I was taken out for lunch by lots of them and treated as a friend
Everyone was very good at explaining my work and trying to make sure I understood exactly what I was doing
I was never too busy that I became stressed but I also had enough to keep me occupied whilst in the office.
I was given a reasonable amount of work to get on with independently, although it was obviously checked over by more senior staff
They will be invaluable in my future career as a lawyer
The Company
The people who worked there were clearly good friends and would often pop into each others offices for a chat and a gossip, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere
There were a good range of presentations and talks and we got to spend an entire week at the end on a pro bono project which I enjoyed
We were given lots of feedback and training on things like presentation skills
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I have accepted a full time job with Norton Rose
The Culture
We often went to a local pub for at least one drink each day after work
As expensive as you would expect for central London
There are a good range of pubs and bars right next to the office.
There were many sports events which we were regularly invited along to compete it
