    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed my time at the firm. We were treated with lots of respect and given lots of treats and a variety of work

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • Everyone made sure I understood what I was doing and I was given real work. I was personally thanked by a partner for something I did which I felt showed he valued me.

    • I was always in an office with someone who ensured I understood what I was doing

    • If I didn't have enough work I could just ask and someone would find me something

    • I did some research that was sent straight on to a client without any changes being made.

    • They will be invaluable in my future career as a trainee lawyer

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • It was realtively serious but everyone was very welcoming and friendly

    • It was perfectly organised and felt very professional

    • We were given detailed feedback once we had left and prior to our trianing contract interviews. We were also given trianing in computer skills and presentations

    • They offered me a training contract, which I did not take, but that is perhaps a choice I will regret! It was a very hard decision"

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • We all got on well and regularly went for drinks

    • Expensive, as central London always is

    • There was a wide variety of things to do near the office

    • I think we may have been invited along to company sports club training
