The Role
I've had an incredible time and don't want to leave!
I felt very much like a part of the team from the off. Everyone was so welcoming.
Cannot thank my manager and mentor enough. They have been absolutely incredible - they listened to what I wanted from the internship and made sure it happened!
There were quiet days and manic days, exactly what you expect from something like this.
Just as much as everyone else - was very much a team effort.
My CV now looks incredible!! I also did courses through Macmillan, such as a Speaker training course, which was invaluable.
The Company
great atmosphere, everyone got on really well. Felt like I'd known everyone for years!
All went very smoothly, despite me being a bit of a guinea pig.
I shadowed employees at every available opportunity, was given a handful of training courses and a lot of responsibility
Healthcare/Dental
very appealing, although I do have another year of university. I'm definitely not ruling out a career in the charity sector!
The Culture
I was the only intern in the office, although I did meet some others from different regions.
Lived at home, but Cardiff is quite average
A small village in Wales, but near Cardiff
There were always plenty of fundraising and volunteering opportunities to get involved with
