The Role
A fantastic experience. From the very first day I was given key responsibilities.
I felt as if I was an important part of the team. I had deadlines for tasks and processes, which was vital that they were met.
Very good support from manager and colleagues throughout my internship.
During submission period, it was extremely busy. During the non submission period it was more relaxed.
I had full responsibility for various tasks, key reporting processes and projects.
The skills will be vital for my career. Being 'dropped in at the deep end' helped by me to learn quickly.
The Company
Was a good mix of people and a fun place to work.
This was the biggest flaw of the internship. There was no official process for my learning. The previous intern did not update key documentation, which in turn made some processes difficult.
I attended various training courses, corporate events (with influential speakers within the financial world), badminton and 5-a-side football.
