The Role
I really enjoyed working at J.P Morgan as I was treated fairly and equally in every way.
I was tasked with a live real world project from the very start so I felt like my internship work actually meant something to the company.
My manager was very helpful, always willing to give advice and friendly.
Some days I was busy and some days I had a little less to do but it was never too much or boring.
I was given full access to all of the live databases and programs, and I was encouraged to explore what happens when you do things and encouraged to see what I could come up with.
I learned a lot during my internship and the way in which I conducted my project there will help me in my final university year project and beyond in a job.
The Company
The atmosphere was relaxed and it allowed everyone to get on with the work they had to do. I liked the balance of hard work and relaxed atmosphere as it made me code a lot better.
The internship programme was set up very well, there were fun events and nights out organised for us regularly so that we could meet lots of new people and get to know the other interns better.
We were given a huge range of available training courses that we could sign up for and do after the approval of your manager. The resources available to us were outstanding.

Healthcare/Dental
I received a graduate offer after completing my internship and accepted it without a second thought.
The Culture
Yes, we had lunch together almost every day of the internship, we had events organised for us so we could socialize with the other interns and we also organised some nights out between ourselves at different points.
I live in Glasgow normally so I was living at home, but depending on where abouts the accomodation is it can be pretty reasonable to stay here. The socializing was quite cheap as there are plenty of student bars and clubs that sell cheap drinks.
The Glasgow nightlife is great as there are many bars and clubs to choose from.
We had events planned for us outside of work such as a charity event and a fun night at lazer tag, and these events were very well planned and fun.
