The Role
There were some aspects which I really enjoyed and some which I didn't
I felt very valued within my team, but not so much outside of it
I had a good network of support from Line Managers and above, I worked for an allocated set of account managers so felt I could go to them for help as well. No problem here
There's never nothing to do, you won't get bored. However the tasks do get repetitive.
Responsibility if a fair amount, you are doing real work which is seen by Fujitsu's biggest customers, however there is not much chance to increase your level of responsibility because there isn't much opportunity to move around the company.
I think anyone who does a placement won't regret it
The Company
There was a lot of staff banter! General atmosphere is as long as you are getting the work done then they want you to have fun.
Fujitsu have a rolling structure, so you will be trained by another student and when your year is up, they will train you. There was a lot of involvement from the HR department and they will have a big part to play during your year at Fujitsu, they would often organise "get together" days etc.

The Culture
There are a lot of locations available within the Fujitsu Placement Scheme, being based in Reading there were a lot of students around
Rent and bills didn't take as much as 50% from my wages
Reading is a town not a city but there are some good nights out to be had, just like anywhere really. There is a student atmosphere and a uni as well so you can do it on the cheap if its the end of the month :)
Not so much, but the students organised themselves, e.g. football, zumba etc
