The Role
Very structured and well thought out programme
As well as getting on with work, there was lots of general talk and generally just making sure I was ok with what I had been given.
I had 2 reviews whilst I was there. In addition to this I met with my manager weekly to discuss any issues that I may of been facing and how I would over come these.
Good balance between social events/training and work
I was responsible for creating a whole GUI - it was my own and I was in charge of it start to finish
I have learnt more programming in 10 weeks than 2 years..
The Company
The atmosphere within my team and my extended team was very good. Both professionally and socially.
Everything was set up before we arrived with a schedule. All events were well planned and thought out.
I had 4 trainings in my first week whilst I was there. Some of these were a day, some of these were 3 hours.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Very appealing. After working there for 10 weeks and understanding the possibilities available to you to enhance and develop yourself I believe the prospects at GS are high.
The Culture
Yes, both organised by interns separately and GS.
Socialising was excellent - lots of bars and pubs. London is always expensive.
Very good, not too far to get to clubs as well.
We had a charity day whilst we were there which also incorporated team building skills.
