The Role
Great insight into a brilliant firm. We were given opportunities to both experience the work undertaken at the firm and also meet the people who make up the firm.
The other solicitors appreciated the work I did for them, and were keen to ensure that I understood what I was doing.
My supervisor always made the time to explain things to me. When I didnt understand something, I was given the space to try to work it out for myself, but knew I could always ask.
I experienced the challenge of balancing my work load, and always had a social activity at the end of the day to look forward to.
The tasks I was given were appropriate. Some we rather challenging, but rightly so.
The experience was invaluable.
The Company
Open door, friendly, welcoming and fairly informal.
Every hour was packed. Brilliantly organised.
I felt that the firm was very eager to make sure that the experience was beneficial for me. They were also keen to highlight the fact that the experience was a time for me to figure out if I liked the firm, not just the other way round.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a training contract shortly after the end of the Vac scheme.
The Culture
Absolutely.
Pretty expensive as can be expected in the City.
Loads of pubs, bars and clubs.
Yes, we had several organised socials including bowling and a comedy night.
