  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed it.

  • Got along with them really well, but not perfect.

  • When he was around great support but was sometimes too busy.

  • A few weeks where things went too slowly but on the whole a good balance.

  • Was given a lot of responsibility including designing and implementing new features for products.

  • Mostly just got on with work but could always talk about fun things.

  • Didn't really have a lot of admin to do so everything just flowed.

  • Wasn't really given much training except company induction training.

  • They said I've been excellent but haven't yet said anything about a future job.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There's been some trips to the pub and playing games in the office in the evenings.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Stayed with my parents in Milton Keynes and commuted to Cambridge so quite cheep for me. Although petrol and car costs were expensive.

  • I'm not interested in nightlife so I didn't even investigate it.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not as a part time employee although seems there's more opportunity for full time.
